St Margaret's Church Ipswich

St Margaret’s is a lovely church for a wedding. Beautiful both inside and out, it will always be a special place for couples to start married life.

Couples wanting to get married in St Margaret's Church should contact the Vicar (see Getting in Touch).

A wedding is more than a setting, more than a ceremony. It is the start of a lifelong commitment and the vows you make on your wedding day will confirm that commitment.

The Vicar, David Cutts, and the Marriage Preparation team would like to help you prepare to take that step and have put together a course especially for couples planning to marry in our church.

The voluntary one-day course is for any couple who want to give their marriage the best possible start. It takes place in the informal setting of the leaders’ home and over the course of a day you will:

• Consider the importance of commitment
• Have the opportunity to recognise your differences and learn the skills necessary for your relationship to develop and grow
• Learn about listening and expressing feelings and how to resolve conflict
• Discuss how to make each other feel loved

Each session will consist of short talks interspersed with exercises and questions which you discuss as a couple.

At all times privacy is respected.
