Lent Course 2010 - Knowing and Growing

Wednesday evenings in church beginning on February 24th at 8.00 p.m.

This year we are using a reflective course produced by David Adam, familiar for his Celtic-style prayers.  The sessions will be based on some of the Gospel parables: Unclean Spirit, Sower, Weeds among Wheat, House on Rock, Talents, Prodigal Son, Vineyard, Grain of Wheat.

The method will be loosely based on the ancient tradition of Lectio Divina, translated as Resources (people bring items which get them talking about the theme), Realise (that you're in God's presence), Read (the Bible text), Ruminate (chew it over), Respond in prayer and action, Rest and Rejoice, and finally Recollect.
