Due to Government restrictions to reduce the spread of Covid-19 St Margaret's Church building will be closed until further notice.

This picture was taken by George Woodward on Friday. He writes "The church seemed to be bathed in light silhouetted against the dark and angry clouds behind it. We pray this might be an image we can hold onto during the current dark times and that, as a church, we may be ‘light’ to our parish over the coming weeks."

Although the building is closed we are still there for all.

I am receiving lots of suggestions about what we might do as a church at this difficult time. Most of those ideas are along the lines of what people think other people might like!! Now may I invite you to be a bit selfish for a moment and let me know what you would like or find helpful and we will see what we can do. We want to care for others in the community but we also need to care for ourselves as well.

There are going to be various services broadcast on Sunday on the radio (possibly television) and certainly through the internet and I encourage you to participate in one of them – see

Please be assured of my love and prayers in these present days.
